Henna TechniquesDropping straight lines involves placing the tip of the henna cone on to the skin and gently moving the cone as you squeeze out the henna paste. After a few millimetres, raise the tip of the cone and allow the line of henna paste to drop on to the skin. Use this technique for areas of skin that you are working on horizontally. Dragging involves placing the tip of the henna cone on to the skin and dragging it along while squeezing out the henna paste in a constant stream. After a few centrimetres you'll need to stop and move your hand to allow a longer line to continue. Dragging can also be used for curved lines. Use the heel of your hand for stability as you move your thumb and forefinger to control the sweep of the curve. Block filling involves making short zig-zagging lines within the solid areas of the design. Fill in small sections of larger areas rather than trying to fill the whole area in one go.
